HR Hot Topics – March, 2021: Travel and Quarantine Policies for Vaccinated and COVID-Recovered Staff
Welcome to the March edition of HR Hot Topics. Spring (false spring) is upon us here in Michigan and with that comes thoughts of spring break and vacations to someplace warm! Now that vaccines are becoming more widely available, employers are starting to question whether or not to update their travel and quarantine policies accordingly. Not surprisingly, the CDC’s guidance is somewhat conflicting on this topic. While they still encourage a post-travel quarantine for vaccinated individuals, they have changed their recommendations around general quarantine requirements stating that under certain conditions, fully vaccinated individuals and those who have recovered from COVID in the last 90 days are NO LONGER required to quarantine after a potential exposure incident.
